SUMMARY:

Although technology has always been present in education and science, today we live in a different technological era, the era of digital culture. Being a teacher during this time has proven to be much more complex than one could imagine. Thinking about training Science and Biology teachers to work in a social context that lacks scientific-digital literacy is a relatively recent initiative, and therefore requires more studies and investigations. Therefore, a study is proposed that investigates relevant elements for the initial training of Biological Sciences teachers for the didactic-pedagogical use of digital technologies in their teaching practices, as well as enhancing scientific literacy in their educational processes. Therefore, we sought to investigate how scientific-digital literacy presents itself and is constructed in teacher training in the context of Degrees in Biological Sciences. As a space and research groups, Bachelor's Degree courses in Biological Sciences from public institutions in the state of Alagoas are currently in operation. The research context was developed in four stages: Systematic Literature Review (RSL), documentary research on the PPC of Degrees, documentary research on the transformation of a course since its creation and survey research with professors coordinating these courses. This collection of information allowed us to obtain understanding about scientific-digital literacy and its development in the context of initial teacher training for Bachelor's Degree courses in Biological Sciences, and the mapping of practices carried out and experienced in this context. The necessary teacher training for the development of this theme stands out, in order to overcome the technical and instrumental vision, by presenting some possibilities for the contribution of digital technologies to meet the needs and limitations identified from this study. In this sense, this research is related to the didactic, methodological and scientific perspectives of the Teaching area when it proposes the act of thinking about the redefinition of the initial training of Science and Biology teachers for contemporary education, through the interaction between digital culture and scientific literacy.
