SUMMARY:

The study aimed to develop and validate an educational manual on perinatal care for women with physical, hearing, visual, intellectual, and multiple disabilities, intended for nurses. This is a methodological study. The research was conducted in a virtual environment and structured in three stages: scope review to identify the health needs of women with disabilities in the perinatal period; development of the educational manual; and validation of the educational technology in terms of content and appearance. The scope review, conducted according to the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute and the PRISMA-ScR checklist, identified gaps innursing care and highlighted challenges related to physical, communication, attitudinal, and social barriers, as well as the invisibility of women with disabilities in public health policies. Based on this evidence, a manual was developed, divided into eight chapters, addressing nursing care for each type of disability, as well as topics related to mental health, violence, and breastfeeding, using accessible language, visual resources, and a focus on inclusion. Content validation was performed in 2025 by a committee of ten experts with experience in obstetrics and/or persons with disabilities. The Content Validity Index was used to analyze the study, which allowed the level of agreement between the evaluators to be measured. The results showed a high degree of agreement between the evaluators, with a Content Validity Index greater than 0.80 for all items, confirming the clarity, relevance, and representativeness of the material. The same applies to the categorization of experts and analysis of participants' suggestions for refining the educational manual. The final product is an innovative educational technology aimed at continuing education in health, with the potential to support more humanized, inclusive, and evidence-based care practices, promoting the adaptation and protagonism of women with disabilities in the context of motherhood. It is concluded that the educational manual is a valid and relevant educational technology with the potential to support continuing health education and improve nursing care practices, promoting more humanized, inclusive, and evidence-based perinatal care for women with disabilities.
