CHEMISTRY EXPERIMENTS ASSIMILATED BY STORYTELLING FOR 9TH YEAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Chemical Reactions, Experimentation, Elementary School.
The challenges in science teaching in a contemporary world where technology makes information in the palm of the hand of those who use it. In the case of the classroom, this type of technology is still only present with the textbook, the blackboard, the chalk and the eraser. In this sense, the dissertation project plans to accompany the understanding of Chemical Reactions experiments in the context of problem-solving activities involving storytelling. Thus, the specific objectives formulated were the following: 1 - to investigate the use of experimentation to promote the understanding of Chemical Reactions presented to students of the 9th year of Elementary School; 2 - verify the assimilation of the concepts and results of Chemical Reactions presented to the students of the 9th of Elementary School; 3 - Develop a didactic-pedagogical script to support teachers in Science classes with low-cost experiments on Chemical Reactions contextualized with storytelling. The target audience were students from a 9th grade class of Elementary School at a Municipal School of Basic Education, located in the City of Coruripe — AL. Regarding the structure of the text for the dissertation, this work will be arranged in the form of articles, being composed as follows Introduction, Theoretical Foundation, Systematic Literature Review, Methodological Research Procedures, Educational Product, Results and Discussions and Final Considerations. Thus, the first article aims to recognize the students' prior knowledge, while the second article will analyze the participants' learning, following the didactic script, proposed by the Educational Product, recognizing the knowledge acquired after the interventions. For the development of this research, the planning was carried out according to the project sent to Plataforma Brasil, approved under process n.º 66193022.3.0000.5013 and opinion n.º 5.961.239. The research method used will be of the qualitative type and the approach of the research-application type. The pedagogical intervention will consist of 4 (four) monthly meetings in which each meeting will consist of 3 weekly classes with 50 minutes/class. The data collection instrument will be 2 questionnaires, pre-activities and post-activities. Data analysis will follow the Discursive Textual Analysis method, which according to Moraes and Galiazzi (2007) is a qualitative methodology that addresses new understandings of discourse.
