Electronic Document Management is essential for the planning and implementation of information services, providing indispensable technological tools for promoting communication, productivity and quality in document management, preserving information at the organizational level, as well as quick access, facilitating decision making . Sebrae/Alagoas's mission is to promote the competitiveness and sustainable development of entrepreneurship and micro and small companies in the country, as a transformative instrument of innovation, establishing an environment favorable to sustainable growth through solutions to their various needs. Sebrae/Alagoas has a physical and digital archive. Document management is a prerequisite for digitization activities, which must be directly linked to conversion activities carried out in accordance with Sebrae/Alagoas policy, related to access, use, processing, archiving, evaluation, destination, preservation and dissemination of documentation. The research aims to study the process of electronic document management in the Sebrae/Alagoas permanent archive. For the methodological path, it was determined that the research in nature is quantitative and qualitative, in terms of objectives, the research is exploratory and descriptive. The research universe was made up of fellows who work in the permanent archive of Sebrae Alagoas. The sample consisted of six scholarship holders. The research collection instrument was an online questionnaire, which saves time by faster capture and processing of information. The results showed that Electronic Document Management in the Sebrae/Alagoas permanent archive is a consolidated practice and that the documents stored by the permanent archive are fundamental for the preservation of institutional memory.
