SUMMARY:
The present dissertation “Technology, uberization and structural precariousness: triad of current forms of exploitation and control of work”,
resulting from a bibliographical and documental research, analyzes the function of technique in the reproduction of capitalist sociability and the impacts
of the development of technologies of information and communication – ICTs, expressed in the processes of uberization, as a “new” form of exploitation
and control of work. Anchored in the assumptions of Marx's social theory, the study focuses on the phenomenon of uberization to unravel the current
modalities of work that, through the use of digital platforms, materialize with the boost of Information and Communication Technologies - ICTs applied to
work and its intrinsic relationship with the Sharing Economy, with the Brazilian Labor Reform to verify why and how the forms of subordination and control
of work are expanded in contemporary times. It is understood that the productive restructuring initiated in the 1980s, in the face of the structural crisis of
capital in the 1970s, leads to the advancement of flexibilization and outsourcing processes, significantly altering contracts, relationships and working conditions,
making them increasingly precarious. It is assumed, therefore, that the phenomenon of uberization is constituted in the context of aggravation of structural
unemployment, which enthrones technological development, entrepreneurship, productive flexibility, masking the condition of exploitation and control of
workers. It is on the diversity and complexity of these processes in contemporary capitalism that the research carried out seeks to unravel the functionality of
technological development for the reproduction of capital and capitalism in crisis. It resorts to the ontological foundations of work, the function of technology
in the processes of production and management of work in the context of competitive and monopoly capitalism to explain why and how the worker's subordination
in work modalities is constituted. The economic and social determinants of the structural crisis are highlighted, the processes of flexibility and presented data
that demonstrate the unbridled growth of digital platforms (application companies), with the insertion of workers in the uberization process and the urgency of
making it less and less noticeable the control of work, the processes of precariousness, the regressive tendencies that reveal the inherent contradictions of the reproduction of capital.
