SUMMARY:

This research starts from the problem of hunger and the demand for better living conditions and autonomy for poor black women, analyzing food and nutritional security policies in Brazil. Happening since the racist pillar that was structured in the colonial period, hunger as an issue included on the government agenda, is the result of the struggle of social movements, academic production and population nonconformity. It is important to question the relationship between hunger and issues of race, class and gender, because, in the history of data on food and nutritional security (SAN), it is in households headed by women, black and poor people, where the highest levels of of severe food insecurity. Therefore, to propose breaking structural discourses that reinforce vulnerabilities, I want to understand how contemporary SAN policies situate black women, who are their biggest beneficiaries. The research general objective is to analyze the presence of race, class and gender markers in current food and nutritional security policies. Specific objectives are to map and analyze documents that constitute food security policies, programs and actions, discuss policies to combat hunger and food security in Brazil from a historical and intersectional perspective, and problematize the insertion of psychology in these policies from a intersectional feminist perspective. To achieve the objective proposed by this research, it starts with the documentary analysis of income generation laws and policies that involve food and nutritional security, and from this, the analytical effort in an intersectional feminist theoretical methodological perspective.
