SUMMARY:

In a world increasingly mediated by technology, the limits of the notion of being human are fluid. This study proposes to investigate this movement based on the intersection be- tween Jacques Lacan's psychoanalytic theory and the fundamental concepts of cybernet- ics. The aim is to investigate the similarities and differences between the notion of subject between Lacanian psychoanalysis and cybernetics, aiming to elucidate their implications in the debate on the (re)definition of the subject today. Using a literature review method- ology and comparative theoretical analysis, we specifically intend to 1) understand the foundations of cybernetics and its implications for the notion of subject as an informa- tional entity; 2) investigate the notion of subject in Lacanian psychoanalysis; 3) hold a de- bate about the similarities and differences in the notion of subject between the two approaches; and 4) elucidate the implications of these convergences and divergences for understanding the post-human subject. By highlighting the relevance of this dialogue, this research aims to contribute to the current debate, placing itself at the confluence of lan- guage and the algorithm to investigate the contemporary faces of the subject. In its prelim- inary phase, a literature review on cybernetics was carried out, establishing the foundation for the proposed comparative analysis.
