SUMMARY:

Lacan's orientation is to reach the horizon of the subjectivity of the time. In this sense, it is considered that the body is the enigma always placed on the horizon of psychoanalysis - since its creation with Freud. In contemporary times, the body gains new contours with the incidence of LGBTQIA+ bodies and its implications such as violence, marginalization, new forms of subjectivation and suffering, and political struggle. Consequently, new challenges are posed to the psychoanalysts of the time. Therefore, this research aimed to investigate the status of the Trans body from Lacanian psychoanalysis. In order to achieve this purpose, autobiographies of Trans people were read and the literature review. Reading the autobiographies allowed the elaboration of some questions about the Trans bodies, they are: (1) one body another in the mirror?; (2) what is there between sex and sexuality?; (3) are the mirrors others?; (4) is there completeness?; and, finally, (5) Where is the violence located?. The search in the scientific literature aimed to identify the place occupied by Trans bodies in psychoanalytic research in the last six years. For this, we turned to the survey of studies in national databases - Virtual Health Library, Capes Periodicals and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations - which resulted in 11 documents to be analyzed in depth considering the interpretive reading of the texts. The discussion was based on four thematic axes entitled: (1) scientific-technological changes in the Trans-proper body; (2) identity and identification; (3) the body and its constitution in (dis)course; and, (4) the body between structures. The investigation made it possible to affirm that the Trans body is its own body which, therefore, is on the edges of sexuation and is inscribed in the impossibility of making sexual intercourse exist, which, therefore, does not remove it from the malaise. It was also found that the concept of the term “Trans” is sometimes placed as one of the names for the body itself. Furthermore, the trajectory of the Trans conjunct to singularity was considered as a form of transformative power that would enable a path of dialogue between psychoanalysis and other knowledge. That said, it is important to emphasize that the present work is based on singularity as a way in which each subject conceives his/her body. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the increasingly necessary discussion between the LGBTQIA+ community and psychoanalysis and, consequently, that the questions presented will raise new investigations about the proper body for those who call themselves Trans.
