SUMMARY:

Family violence against children and adolescents is a complex, multifactorial social and health problem that has harmful effects on childhood and adolescence. This phenomenon has affected an increasing number of families. Research indicates that in Brazil, in the years 2020 and 2021, this type of violence reached the number of more than 50,000 complaints in the first semester alone, and of this total, more than 81% occurred inside the home. In Alagoas, this reality is no different, in the years 2017 to 2020, there were more than 1,900 cases of violation of this public, with the year 2020 being marked by low rates due to underreporting due to social isolation. Since the enactment of the Child and Adolescent Statute – ECA, measures have been taken to combat this violence. A protection network was formed for these children and adolescents, consisting of various policies related to Social Assistance, Health, Education and institutions such as the Guardianship Council, Shelter Units, among others. These policies are undertaken by workers who are constantly trying to articulate with each other to achieve intersectoriality and guarantee the dignity of children and adolescents through the integral protection service. Believing that family violence is a social problem that affects the lives of many children and adolescents from Brazilian families, this work intends to discuss the experiences of workers who are part of the protection network for this public, seeking to access how they understand this network, the effectiveness, the strengths and weaknesses that interfere with their day-to-day work, as well as the meaning of violence within their territory. This research was developed in the city of Roteiro, a small municipality located in the interior of the Alagoas capital and had the co-participation of eight professionals who work in various sectors such as Cras, Creas, Basic Health Units, Schools and Guardianship Council. This investigation is a qualitative research that had as a methodological procedure, the use of the field diary, semi-structured interviews and fictional stories told from my experiences as a worker at Suas. We use intersectionality as a tool to analyze the intersections that cross the experiences of people and families served by this network and how this affects the daily lives of professionals who are constantly facing the challenges of dealing with this violence. From the knowledge productions of this research, it was possible to observe that family violence against children and adolescents is still a normalized phenomenon in the culture of many families, that intersectoriality is still a practice that needs to be understood by municipal managers and consequently carried out by workers. , that they do not have secure employment relationships and can be fired at any time and that they deal daily with working conditions that weaken the offer of their services, such as reduced teams and accumulation of activities. Finally, it is important to emphasize the need to value workers in the protection network for children and adolescents, whether they are from Sua, Education, Health or any other institution that offers this service, as well as the need to further discuss the relationships of workers, their employment relationships, working conditions, among others, in order to understand the challenges that surround problems such as family violence against children and adolescents.
