In recent years, autism has figured as an enigma in psychoanalytic clinical practice giving rise to much research, mostly, on childhood and diagnosis. However, a gap was identified in the academic productions about autism and adolescence and, in this way, this research was constituted with the theoretical referential of Lacanian psychoanalysis. Thus, it departed from the conception of puberty as an awakening to uneasiness, with the purpose of investigating the implications of puberty on autism. To that end, it was based on three autobiographies of autistics ± Naoki Higashida and his permanent struggle with his body, Daniel Tammet and the arrival of puberty, and Temple Grandin and his nervous excitations ± whereas that writing in autism testifies something of his subjective functioning. Furthermore, two discussion points were privileged: puberty and the reinvention of the relationship with the body; and, the encounter with the Other sex. According to the writing of these autistics, there is for them a potentialization of a jouissance without a dam, and in face of this, tKH\¶UH impelled to build a singular solution to deal with this excess. From this investigation we deduce the impasses of puberty for autistic people, especially regarding the body itself in their attempts to make a body artificially. Thus, with the advent of the real of puberty, these inventions, usually built in childhood, seem to be unable to cope with what is imposed and requires each one to reinvent this body, and a new way of relating to it and to the Other. Finally, from the reading of the autobiographies, it is indicated that there is no interest in the Other sex, thus pointing to the possibility of another field of investigation.
