SUMMARY:

The word adolescence comes from the Latin – “adolescere”, which means to grow up. This is a particular and singular period in an individual's life, situated between childhood and adult life. Based on Winnicott's psychoanalytic theory, adolescence is characterized by physical changes, psychic and emotional transformations, which imply growth, maturity, demanding time. The current scenario indicates that violence against children and adolescents is a multifaceted issue, experienced uniquely, which affects societies and is a serious public health problem. The Child and Adolescent Statute, as well as several scientific studies, point to the need to prevent the occurrence of this violation of rights, as well as the importance of recognizing the role of adolescents in exercising their citizenship and expanding their critical sense. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to analyze the strategies for preventing violence against children and adolescents developed together with young people. And the specific objectives are: to understand the conceptions of violence against children and adolescents expressed by adolescents; inform and raise awareness about the types of violence against children and adolescents and the protection network for these subjects; and enabling young people to create strategies and products to prevent violence against children and adolescents. This research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Alagoas. This is a qualitative and interventional action research. All research will be carried out in a state public school in Northeast Brazil. For the constitution of the sample, 20 adolescents between 12 and 18 years old will be invited. The research will be carried out through six prevention workshops with the aim of creating an environment that is not limited to simply passing on information, above all encouraging youth protagonism, spontaneity and creativity. The instruments used will be: field diaries, two questionnaires (initial and final) about the participants' knowledge about violence against children and adolescents and the Drawing-Story Procedure with Theme (DE-T), with the insignia "Make a drawing about Violence against children and adolescents”. For analysis, the field diaries that went through Minayo's content analysis were considered, and the DE-T will be analyzed following the recommendations of Aiello-Vaisberg. The interpretations of the results found will be based on Winnicott's psychoanalytic theory. It can be concluded, up to the present moment, that the research is being accepted by the school environment and intends to provide a welcoming environment for adolescents, as well as being a way of enhancing actions regarding primary prevention
