SUMMARY:

The present work proposes to investigate the revitalization of ancient Tupi among the Potiguara, an ethnic group from the North Coast of Paraíba. For this, it starts from the author's encounter with his ethnicity through the ancestral language. From this framework, it examines the linguistic multiplicity present in Brazil through the native peoples. It examines, along its course, the indigenous incursions around ethnically saying themselves, being said and not heard. It is a question, amid the secular slaughter, of finding their voice.
