SEXUAL BEHAVIOR AND SEXUAL HEALTH OF MSM IN RELATIONSHIP APPLICATIONS
MSM, sexual behavior, sexual health.
Men who have sex with men (MSM) are among the segments most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS as a result of a series of factors that expose these subjects to processes of stigmatization. In the search for social approval, many of these men seek to manage their behavior according to people and circumstances, choosing to live their sexualities in a reserved way, away from discriminatory eyes and with a greater chance of exposure to risky behavior. In this sense, relationship apps are an important tool in the search for partnerships and casual sex, as the virtual environment reduces concerns related to public exposure, low self-esteem and internalized homophobia. Therefore, this study has as its guiding question: what sexual behaviors and prophylactic measures are prevalent among MSM users of dating apps? Therefore, this project aims to point out the most recurrent sexual behaviors and the most used prophylactic measures among MSM users of dating apps. This is a qualitative survey of an exploratory nature. The first moment will consist of a descriptive analysis of the profiles of users of the Grindr application, seeking to point out elements related to the sexual behavior and sexual health of these subjects. In a second moment, 20 volunteers who are users of the Testing and Counseling Centers (CTA) for HIV/AIDS in Maceió will be recruited to respond to a semi-structured interview, which will address the use of relationship apps. We will use as a theoretical reference the available literature on masculinities, vulnerability, stress of minorities and Intersectionality and the data will be analyzed using the Iramuteq software, which allows a statistical analysis of texts. It is expected that the research will contribute to the development of strategies in the field of public health, surveillance and health promotion.
