A STUDY ON THE UNDERSTANDING OF HEALING AND CARE PRACTICES IN THE JUREMA OF AGRESTE ALAGOANO
Jurema, healing, care, psychology
This research aims to monitor and identify processes of formation of subjectivities on the understanding of what would be healing and care practices linked to the universe of the Jurema Sagrada. The research will be carried out among the members of a Juremeira community, known as, fazendinha do seu Zé da pinga, located in the city of Arapiraca, agreste Alagoas. We will use for the study the dialogue between psychology and decolonial studies, considering that these point to the production of a critical psychology built from epistemological references capable of considering the subjective complexity of Latin American peoples. As a support for the methodological experience we will use the ethnopsychology for proposing to enable the practice of research in the perspective of the decolonization of traditional methods in psychological research, conceiving the worldview and knowledge proper to the groups researched, in this case, a community of practitioners of the sacred jurema religion located in the agreste of Alagoas. To record the events/data collected with participant observation, which can be interpreted, a field diary will be used and for data collection the in-depth interview, a qualitative research technique that consists of presenting open questions to the analyzed.
