The vygotskian concept of mediation in psychology: exploratory-descriptive study
Meta-synthesis, CAPES, Mediation, Psychology.
The project discusses the appropriation of the concept of mediation in Vygotskian studies, in the field of scientific knowledge of psychology. This is a meta-synthesis (exploratory and descriptive) research. The objective is to describe the use of the Vygotskian concept of mediation in Brazilian and contemporary authors. The composition of the sample is articles that deal with mediation, present on the “CAPES journal portal” platform, as it is a reference in the production of academic articles and provides sufficient material for the development of research. Three stages were carried out: exploration, refinement and description. In the exploration phase, the following descriptors were used: Mediation and Vygotsky and Psychology, all years and areas. The author's name was used with four different spellings, providing different results, Vigotski (46), Vygotsky (51), Vigotsky (5), Vygotski (9). Thus, 111 articles were found, coming from the areas: philosophy (1), sociology (1), communication (1), architecture (1), physical education (1), education (59) and psychology (47). In the refinement phase, psychology articles were considered, without repetitions, totaling 31 articles, which are described in a later stage. The partial results indicate that the subareas of knowledge of Developmental Psychology and School and Educational Psychology are those that produced the most; the significant predominance of co-authored productions (25) and by women (56) of the total of 67 authors.
