SUMMARY:

This dissertation objective to study the dynamics of interaction of the Alagoas Adoption Support Group (Gaaal) in the digital environment, as well as to point out how its intersections with other Brazilian Adoption Support Groups (intensified in the virtual sphere) and close link to the The Judiciary of Alagoas ratifies the idea of an articulated movement of GAAs as not only an important network of solidarity between adoptive parents and those interested in adopting, but also as an important producer and/or influencer of national regulation on adoption in Brazil. It is also my interest to show how technology-mediated communication, especially in times of social distancing, caused by the Covid -19 Pandemic in 2020 and 2021 contributed to the continuation of adoption processes in the state of Alagoas, making Gaal an important “arm” of the Alagoas Judiciary. Based on the online ethnography method, interactions between the components of Gaal on the social networks Whatsapp and Instagram were observed over the course of a year, as well as virtual meetings on the Google Meet platform (chosen by the group's components to hold meetings). virtual machines, which became part of the training course for enabling adoption, which is mandatory for candidates). Finally, I make a theoretical reflection on the studies involving the categories adoption, family and kinship in the anthropological field and an observation on how the changes in the legislation on adoption in Brazil, demarcated mainly by the changes pointed out in the Brazilian Federal Constitution in the year of 1988, which elevated the right of children to family life to the level of a fundamental right, as well as the various deepenings brought about with the advent of the Child and Adolescent Statute (Eca), in 1990, and the so-called National Adoption Law. (2009) began to adopt the idea of “the best interest of the child” as a premise for a restructuring of adoption in Brazil, which, in turn, gave rise to the term “new culture of action” , which seeks to “demystify” the stigmas about adoption. built throughout history. As can be seen, the present work is a dialogue between the fields of Anthropology, Law and Digital Communication.
