SUMMARY:

The main objective of this study is to carry out an analysis of the territorialization of public health in the “Vale” of Reginaldo, an area of social vulnerability in the city of Maceió-AL. Through theoretical contributions that support the origin and development of the geography of health, as well as its contribution to society. With the concentration of population in certain areas of the city, and with the technological advances that promote rural-city migration, amid globalization, generated by the capitalist system, and the deepening of social inequalities, reflected in the urbanization of the city, which is not prepared to receive, with quality, the population quantity that increases gradually. In this sense, it compromises sectors such as public health, which needs to meet the population's needs. For this, the methodology used is based on the principle of the systemic approach, enabling the analysis of the totality without dissipating the parts that are always connected, interacting and interfering with the whole. So that the country's political situation directly interferes in the gearing of the public machine, which administers the Unified Health System. Contributing to the proposed theme, we bring to this discussion authors who deal not only with the Geography of Health, but with all this network that surrounds it, like JR. Zomighani (2012), Capra (1982), Faria and Bortolozzi (2013), Hasbaert (2007), among others who contribute to the production of this research. And to learn about the research site, we use data, available on the Municipal Health Department website, of great relevance for georeferencing, of the basic health units, which cover the study area and how access to health is guaranteed to this marginalized population. Enabling the visualization of all planning to meet the local demand of the study area. It is expected that this research will contribute to the improvement of the SUS, as well as positively interfere in decision-making that mitigate solutions to problems related to public health, in communities with greater socio-spatial vulnerability.
