SUMMARY:

Tourism is a dynamic activity capable of generating several direct or indirect transformations in the environment in which it is practiced, in the way of life of the local community that survives from tourism and in the perceptions of visitors responsible for sustaining this activity. The Alto Sertão de Alagoas Region has abundant resources and has the potential to practice various types of tourism. Aiming to take advantage of this potential, the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) is to implement programs for the regionalization and interiorization of tourism in municipalities far from major tourist centers. However, the implementation of these programs find it difficult to meet the proposal of tourist interiorization and diversification. The programs are negotiated by certain political groups that hold power in the state, for the benefit of political and economic interests that centralize tourism on the coast, when the programs are directed to the interior, they end up serving municipalities where tourism is already consolidated. The tourist map is one of the instruments used by the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) to publicize tourist places, in 2019 the map was updated, but not all municipalities considered tourist in the Alto Sertão de Alagoas Region had a symbolic representation inserted in the tourist map of Alagoas. For municipalities that are not symbolically represented to have a symbolic representation, it is necessary to identify which natural and cultural resources stand out. The objective of the research is to identify which geotouristic resources and cultural manifestations have motivated the displacement of visitors to the Alto Sertão Region of Alagoas. For the research, bibliographic surveys were carried out based on authors who contribute to the understanding of this theme, such as: Costa ( 2009), Corrêa (1997), Cruz (2003), Moreira (2014), Santos (2008), Rosendahl (2018), Tuan (2013) among others. To support this research, the interpretive approach used is the phenomenological one and the qualitative method was used as support. Through the field survey, information is acquired with observations, application of a semi-structured questionnaire and use of photographic materials. The technique used is an intentional sample that consists of choosing eight people in each municipality surveyed: Água Branca, Delmiro Gouveia, Inhapi, Mata Grande,Olho d'água of Casado, Pariconha and Piranhas, totaling fifty-six respondents. The result of the data acquired through the participation of visitors and local inhabitants will be shown in graphs, tables, tables and maps. The geotouristic resources and cultural manifestations remembered by respondents as the image of the municipalities can be used as a symbolic representation that is not yet included in the tourist map and at the same time can confirm those that already are. Also, the tourist itinerary will be organized including the geotouristic resources and the most mentioned cultural manifestations. The purpose of preparing the itinerary is to highlight the tourist route that these municipalities in the Alto Sertão de Alagoas Region are part of, even though they receive recognition from the Ministry of Tourism (MTur), it has not received the proper attention and dissemination of the tourism sector. and government agencies. The tourism policy, with the aim of approving programs and obtaining financial support, is a saving cause, promising to work according to criteria based on sustainability, and which will solve the social and economic problems of the municipalities that are part of the proposal. It proposes to adopt a participatory management that in many cases is fictitious, does not meet the needs of the local community and decision-making power is taken only by political groups and businessmen. Government investments aimed at tourism development end up not meeting what they promise, it is perceived that the regionalization and interiorization programs of tourism have not been able to meet the proposal for tourism diversification.
