SUMMARY:

The analysis of the forms of the Earth's surface allows us to understand the processes related to the genesis, evolution and current structure of the landscape. Studies with an emphasis on processes in the field of geomorphological science have shown a break with the modeling of events that form the landscape. Therefore, this research seeks to answer which conditioning processes may have contributed to the spatial distribution of surface coverage in the Coruripe river basin. The aforementioned was chosen as the object of study, linking to a line of investigation that is still little explored in the context of Alagoas, when compared with similar areas in other states in Northeastern Brazil. The research starts from the systemic approach in the middle and low course of the Coruripe river basin, having as one of the main focuses the vertical structure of the relief sedimentary framework. In this sense, direct and indirect inferences about the study area are being made. The indirect consists of the cabinet analyses, preparation of preliminary mappings. The direct, will still be carried out in the field and laboratory, ranging from the identification of collection sites, through the manipulation of sedimentological material, sedimentological analysis of granulometry and morphoscopy for its characterization.
