GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING OF RISK AREAS – CASE STUDY OF EROSION PROCESSES ON THE BR-101/AL HIGHWAY SECTION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SÃO MIGUEL DOS CAMPOS.
Geoenvironmental Monitoring; Vulnerability to Risk; Risk Areas; AHP Method.
Humanity in recent years has been experiencing situations of great instability such as crises and social and environmental changes. These circumstances show how vulnerable we are to risks, especially those linked to environmental degradation. The present work understands how a rupture of the embankment slope of the BR-101/AL highway occurred at km 137 in the stretch of the municipality of São Miguel dos Campos/AL, identifying the causes of the erosive processes and mass movements in the place, analyzing the risks environment for the population. The work will be carried out through multicriteria, applying the analytical hierarchical process analysis method (AHP) in a GIS environment, using free software (QGis) to carry out geoenvironmental monitoring, focusing on the systematization of a mapping methodology that interacts with physical aspects of exposure and social aspects of risk, where studies of risk areas can offer for public management.
