SUMMARY:

Structural unemployment allied to theintensification of the precariousness of
work has significantly altered labor relations throughout Brazil. The tertiary
sector has absorbed a large mass of workers impacted by the strong wave of
unemployment faced by Brazil in recent decades, thus deepening the dialectical
relationship between the two circuits of the urban economy, mainly through the
insertion of the technical-scientific-informational environment in activities that
were once distant from this new reality. The contradictory development of the
work tends to reveal the deepening of the social inequalities present in the uses
of the territory, thus laying bare the true face of this perverse globalization,
whichgoesbeyondtimesandmovements,resignifyingtherelationships
between object and action systems, and , finally, improving the process of
capitalist exploitation. By following the historical development of the Brazilian
legal system, there has been a strong movement of its weakening with regard to
labor relations, directly easing rights and guarantees conquered through many
struggles, making labor relations increasingly insecure and precarious, and,
above all, more exploratory, now grounded in legal bases, or at least in the
absence of these. The objective of the present research is to analyze the main
work relationships developed in the subcenter of the Jacintinho neighborhood
located in the city of Maceió-AL. The process of decentralization of economic
activities once concentrated in the traditional center has altered socio-spatial
relations in the midst of urban space, especially urban mobility through the
emergence of new commercial areas. The jacintinho neighborhood, the second
largest neighborhood in Maceió, has presented an important urban subcenter,
polarizing a large number of economic activities linked, predominantly, to the
lower circuit of the urban economy, with emphasis on the segments of clothing,
pharmaceuticals, bars, small markets. , restaurants, as well as the massive
presence of street vendor activities, thus revealing the growth of new working
relationships in this space, thus arousing the deep interest of this study, which
takeshistoricalmaterialismasitsmethodologicalbasiswiththehelpof
dialectics.
