THE TERRITORY OF SANTANA DO MUNDAÚ/AL IN THE PANDEMIC CONTEXT AND STATE INTERVENTIONS

the COVID-19 pandemic's geographic context is understand through a territorial approach and considering health conditions at Santana do Mundaú, a city in Alagoas. It is a coutry spatial analysis through mapping and photography. It has shown that the number of cases can be explained by the populational distribution in the territory, through the distance between houses in the rural zone, etc. It enlights the globalization concept, causing the number of COVID-19 cases, as the vaccine democratization shows how the world sustains that position and how countries and their respective cities are connect with the system. Analyzing the Santana do Mundaú city through its peculiarities, this study concludes that Unified Health System (SUS) has offered support to its users with the Basic Health Unities (UBS) distributed throughout the city; and that the COVID-19 pandemic has evidenced globalization roots in virus manifestation and it combats through vaccination.
