The process of penalizing suppliers: a case study from the Federal University of Alagoas.
Public procurement; penalizing suppliers; administrative contracts
In order to achieve the objectives necessary to meet the interests of society, the Public Administration may resort to formalizing administrative contracts. It happens that sometimes the obligations of one of the parties are not fulfilled, which may cause inconvenience to the organization that has been short of the service or product contracted. In view of this, the penalization of conduct harmful to the development of administrative contracts ends up constituting a mechanism at the disposal of management in the selection of its suppliers, although the enforcement of this penalty is also an obligation. Seeking to identify opportunities for improvements capable of impacting the quality of public services provided to society, the present case study will seek to map the main processes related to the management of the price record minutes developed by the Federal University of Alagoas. For this, the available documentary sources and interviews to be carried out with the authors involved will be used. The information collected will be examined using the content analysis technique.
