SUMMARY:

The Bienal Internacional do Livro de Alagoas (International Book Biennial of Alagoas) is considered the biggest artistic and cultural event of the Brazilian State. However, regarding the management of its memory there is a gap both in relation to the survey and storage as well as the preservation and dissemination of information about the editions. From then on the following question arises: how to manage the memory of the Bienal Internacional do Livro de Alagoas in an adequate manner? This research consists on a case study of qualitative and exploratory nature employing as technical procedures research-action through a semi-structured interview script and documentary research on the theme including references of books, articles and other texts to provide theoretical scope to the dissertation. It is intended with this work to propose a satisfactory memory management for the Bienal Internacional do Livro de Alagoas.
