RISK ANALYSIS FOR PROPOSING SECURITY ACTIONS AT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF A.C. SIMÕES CAMPUS OF UFAL

This is a case study focusing on risk analysis and security measures in educational institutions, specifically centered on the A.C. Simões Campus of UFAL. The aim of the research is to contribute to enhancing safety within educational environments by identifying and prioritizing the most critical risks, and by proposing mitigation or prevention measures against these risks. The theoretical framework addresses the topic of safety in educational institutions, from both the perspective of public safety and that of private and institutional security. The research employs both qualitative and quantitative methods, collecting data through bibliographic and documentary research, as well as interviews. The construction of the theoretical and empirical framework reviews various risk management methodologies, with the most predominant ones being based on ISO 31,000. The study aims to provide a risk analysis that aligns with the risk plan recently approved by the institution. It does so by utilizing tools and methods discovered in the research, facilitating the achievement of the expected outcome.
