Student Assistance; Academic achievement; Student Stay; Pnaes
This project's general objective is to evaluate the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES) regarding the academic performance of students included in the Pro-Graduate scholarship at the Sertão Campus of the Federal University of Alagoas, analyzing the retention, dropout and completion profile. Pnaes aims to: democratize the conditions for young people to remain in federal public higher education; minimize the effects of social and regional inequalities on retention and completion of higher education; reduce retention and dropout rates; and contribute to the promotion of inclusion through education, established in Decree No. 7,234/2010. To achieve the objectives, the methodology will be based on quantitative, bibliographic and documentary research. The time frame of the research will include students enrolled in the years 2010 to 2016. This period is justified due to the implementation of the Sertão and Pnaes Campuses taking place in 2010. For data collected in the academic system, calculations will be made. the arithmetic mean of the research participants, using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) program, as well as Excel spreadsheets and graphs. With the results of the research, a monitoring product will be developed through a protocol, to be suggested to UFAL, for inclusion in the academic system.
