SUMMARY:

Popular culture and crafts represent the identity of a society, whether local, regional or national. Created by a group of militant people in the area of culture, the Federation of Organizations of Popular Culture and Crafts in Alagoas (Focuarte) has the purpose of safeguarding popular culture in Alagoas, emphasizing and identifying master players from all regions of Alagoas, as well as how it works in the construction of actions and projects focused on Alagoas Crafts. This research project aims to analyze Focuarte in its structural and organizational aspects, as well as its activities as a political actor with relevant participation in the formulation and implementation of public policies for crafts, both in relation to the executive and legislative powers, as well as in its articulation with the community, since its formation, during the pandemic period to the present day. The research will describe Focuarte's participation in the municipal and state executive and legislative powers, as well as its articulation with the community. Documentary and bibliographical research will be carried out on the actions aimed at crafts that were carried out in Alagoas, a description of the organizational structure of focuarte will be carried out, as well as interviews with the founder and other members of focuarte, cultural associations and public managers, which may be executive or legislative. The data will be analyzed using the Content Analysis method, based on Bardin.
